This bubbly Punjabi girl, who debuted in films with Priyadarshan's Hindi flick 'Doli Saja Ke Rakhna' in 1998, went on to become a sensation down South. Having personified innocence and tomboyishness on screen, Jyothika married Suriya and quit acting in favour of a blissful marital life. She still remains one of the most loved actresses in south India.
Jyothika was born Jyothika Sadanah to film producer Chander Sadanah and Seema Sadanah on October 18, 1978 in Mumbai. The duo tied the knot in 2006 and they have a daughter, Diya.Her performance in the film won her the Filmfare award.Jyothika debuted in Sandalwood with 'Nagarahavu'.She won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress for 'Perazhagan' in 2004, 'Chandramukhi' in 2005 and 'Mozhi' in 2007.She was last seen in 'Seetha Kalyanam' (Malayalam).
